Afternoon Activity Options

The “Breakout” YOU Need

The post-lunch space at Behold and Be Held has always been held as a choose-your-own adventure slot. Take a good, deep look at your heart, determine what you most need for your journey, and then go and do that thing!

Our options are broken into four themes: Mind, Spirit, Body, and Creative Heart. Holistic options, for you.

Mind

Joyful Mysteries Tour

Join local researcher and author Colleen Pressprich for a factual approach to the Biblical history depicted in the beautiful chapel windows.

Ask Me (a Priest) Anything

Back by popular demand, Father Brian Meldrum answers your questions–from silly to serious! Be prepared with your best stumpers!

Friendship
Library

Self-guided, this one gives you time to browse and trade books at this year’s Friendship Library. Come home with a new favorite!

Soul

Prayer Teams

Let go and let God with this wealth of an option. Experienced prayer warriors join you in whatever is on your heart, together they’ll pray for it all–heavy and hopeful alike.

Confession

Did you notice that today’s Gospel is about a beloved prodigal?
That’s how God waits for you, love, running to you when still “a long way off.”

Journal Prompts

Want a breather to collect your thoughts and write a little? This self-guided journal time affords you a breath of serenity in the midst of an upbeat day.

Body

Take a hike!

Step into the sun! Or the rain. Or the snow. Whatever we’ve got that day (and we’ve had it all). Dress for the weather and join Danielle Center for a jolly jaunt to get the blood pumping!

Stretch Sesh

Want to stay inside but still need a little movement? Athletic medicine professional Christine Pace will lead you through a full-body stretch session that’s care-filled and cool.

Vendor Jaunt

Give the legs a stretch while visiting one of our wonderful vendors! (Treat yourself, wink wink).

Creative Heart

Craft Time!

An *annual favorite* for the crafty girlies, use your time to make a beautiful bookmark (or two!) with Emily Knee. (A perfect pairing with the Friendship Library!)

Creative WRITING

We’re trying something new this year! Mindi leads a creative writing workshop–with absolutely no wrong answers! Come and play a little on the pages.

You Do You

Maybe you want to chat with friends. Maybe you want to sketch something in a notebook. Maybe you want to take a nap in your car. Activity Sesh is YOU TIME, so pick something you *love.*
